Futures Morning Report 2026-10-30
Core View
1. Black commodities show clear differentiation. Hot-rolled coil long liquidation pressured the downside; a break below the next pivot S1 at 3164.33 would target the near 20-day low of 3150, driven by weaker-than-expected demand and inventory accumulation. Methanol longs increased positions actively; a firm hold above the next pivot R1 at 3510.67 would target the upper levels, driven by overnight international linkage.
2. Base metals overall weak. Gold fell below the next pivot S1 at 863.28, targeting the near 20-day low of 856.28, as a strong dollar and fading safe-haven demand weighed. Copper open interest decreased; a break below the next pivot S1 at 108226.67 would target the near 20-day low. Silver increased positions while falling, and a break below the next pivot S1 at 12495.33 would target the near 20-day low.
3. On the macro level, the CNH/USD exchange rate weakened to 6.6565. International overnight settlement and Asian morning transmission to the China night session led most varieties to close lower in the night session. Funds predominantly reduced positions; watch for risk appetite changes over the weekend amid ample liquidity.
